WOYWW/ BloGIVErsary Give Away!

As you can see, I have had lots of help with the king of beasts!  This is Aslan.  He is such a sweetie!  He's what's on my work area this week for WOYWW compliments of  Julia of the Stamping Ground.  You can check out hers and other work desks to see what they are all up to.

As for my other desk, it is filled with other pieces that I have cut on my Cricut this week.  They are laying on my desk awaiting to be put away in some clear plastic envelope as soon as I get more of them.  They will make for a nice stash to play with later or trade with others.  I loved how the trees made a nice negative to make a stencil with or to put on cards as well. One side of the card stock was green while the other with a news print.  It is one of Tim Holtz variety packs.

My desk wasn't too terribly messy this time, but you should have seen all the bits of paper on the floor!  I guess those birds I cut out can be quite messy regardless if I used newsprint in their cages. lol

Another thing that I wanted to share with you is my old desk caddy that I had gotten at a yard sale a couple of years ago. I am sure it was meant to put in rubber bands, paper clips and other office supplies in it, but when I found out that these chalk inks fit so perfectly, WOW it was such an AH HA moment!  Because of the color of the plastic,  I am thinking that this was perhaps something from around 20 years or so ago.  Anyway, I am tickled with it's function and if you should be so lucky enough to find something like this, I know you would be in heaven too!

Thanks for having a peak at my desk this week.  Looking forward to hearing from you.  The drawing will be on March 28th.  Good Luck!

So amny things there to comments on. Love the blog candy...such vibrant colours!

Love the cutouts on your cricut. I have one that I have only used once when someone else did it for me. I am such a chicken about new toys! The colours you chose and the reverse image are just great.

Your chalk ink holder is fab!

The minute I saw your cathedral pin cushions I was hooked and ready to follow, then I read on and saw that you're having a drawing. Well, that just sugared the pot. I am in love with the cathedral pattern. I have this incredible quilt that my Mom made back in the 70's. She passed away 6 years ago (one day short of her 100th birthday). Everyone was flying in and a party was planned so we just turn her party into her memorial, she would have loved it (birthday cake and all). Anyway I treasure this quilt. I'm not a quilter but I know all the many hours that went into it and it will someday be passed to my daughter. Thank you for sharing. Your newest follower and fellow blogger, Connie

Those pin cushions are beautiful and that is quite the helper you have there! I just love that bird cage die from Tom Holtz, but you are so right, it does make such a mess! Love your caddy, it's perfect for those inks. Mine are stacked up, sort of, and I knock them over every time I reach for one! :)

what fabulous pincushions! I purchased a bag of CW blocks (some completed, some works in progress) at an estate sale. They might be too large for pincushions but may use your idea if not. Thanks for the inspiration.

Wanda, love the pincushion and the organizer. Aslan is too gorgeous for words (looks like he knows it too!). Love your blog and your work is always so beautiful and well executed. Hugs, Charmion

It looks like that caddy wasa made for the dewdrops inks, how marvellous a find was that! I agree, that grey colour was very trendy here in the early eighties for kitchenware etc, so it's almost vintage!!!

Congratulations on your five-year milestone.

Your cat is a natural for the camera. Love your new work. I haven't used any of Tim H's products. DO you have a favorite? The caddy does look like it was just made with your needs in mind. They snuggle right in there.

Aslan is adorable! I have an Ally that does the same thing, plops right in the middle of whatever I'm working on. I also have Hayleigh that will sit prissly, swish her tail and talk until I stop doing what I'm doing and engage with her. I love, love, love that holder so ingenious!! Have a great day!
