Everyone loves give aways. I was browsing some new blogs and ran across this one. Ginny has some great purses on her Etsy site you can check here. Also she is giving one away. Be sure to check out her site. The drawing is in March, so hurry to sign up!
Here's another blog give away for a 100th posting. Cathy's blog has some lovely laces and fibers. You can read about her here.

Cabin Fever
As I sit here today, the snow flurries are swirling. It's just another day in the weeks left of winter. I am getting cabin fever, but I thank God for our imaginations and feel blessed with supplies to create my art, so even though it looks cold and miserable, I can escape and begin to bloom. This latest paperdoll is Orange blossom. It is done with an on line group while we all began with the same pattern, we all create our own version with a spring theme. You can view the others here.

Happy Valentines Day!!!
How do you tell the person you love, Happy Valentines Day? With chocolate, balloons, flowers, a stuffed teddy bear or are you creative? Would love to find out what you did to make Valentines Day special. I'm being a bit ordinary and making hubby lasagna tonight with Salad, bread sticks and a glass of wine. He brought me some Ferrero Rocher chocolates, always a wonderful treat. At our age, it seems we don't have to impress each other much, but if I did, the sexy femine touch would go something like this
As for a man's creative side, well.......... what can I say,I am just grateful for Ferrero Rocher chocolates. LOL

Casting Shadows
Today is officially Ground Hog Day and Had I gotten up early enough, I would have asphyxiated that ground hog still in his hole to make sure he didn't show himself! lol Don't get me wrong, I do love the snow and the shadows that it casts with the trees, but it's the condition when it lingers or changes drastically, I grow very tired of, especially when one loses power.
A week ago we had to hibernate. We went 5 days without power and after the 3rd day, we drained the waterlines and abandoned our house since we didn't have a heat source or generator. If I would have had foresight, I would have booked a Caribbean Cruise! Instead we stayed at our daughter's house and left our cats behind. About 96 % of our county was without power. We would go back each day to check on our 6 fur babies and find them all huddled together enjoying the warmth of each other. We have two Muscovy's that are hoping that the pond will thaw out soon. Insidently, we named Elmer's bride, Ivy.
We finally got back home yesterday and I am looking forward to creating something now that we have our own surroundings and heat back.
Also Speaking of shadows, my daughter has a cat named Murray and our cat is much like his shadowed image. If you didn't look close at the face, you would have thought it the same cat! Of course if you saw his size, you would know that Aslan was much smaller. They didn't come out of the same litter, but both were strays. Actually Aslan was feral, and it took a good year to get him to be tame enough to want to join our family which was a couple of months ago. He must have known that the woods were going to get pretty cold this year.
This is Murray
This is Aslan
