Going In Circles

I had every intention on getting my workdesk photo up for WOYWW, but things just sort of got away from me! Have been dealing with plumbers and deadlines lately. I feel like I have been chasing my tail. So, I am late, but better late than never? Anyway, here's what my work area looked like in the past. Lets see if you can spot the change.

BEFORE

AFTER

If you are guessing that the cat is in a different spot, you are right. If you guessed that the cabinet color has changed, you are right again! I figured you were all pretty smart at guessing. LOL I took advantage of the nice weather getting the cabinet spray painted outside. My yard sale find looks pretty spiffy now!

The only other thing I have on my desk at the moment, is that I have been playing with paint sort of ink blot style. I am hoping to create a few creatures and such to see what they will become.

In the mean time I am back to my machine quilting. I figured I had better work on paying the plumber!
I am working on an oriental quilt for Ruth. I have it about half done and going around in circles! I hope to have it finished by tomorrow. It's always exciting to see the full view when it gets off of the machine. Well back to work! See Ya a"round"!

Really love what you've done to the set of drawers....and I love the cat too :-) Your experiments with colours and paperfolding to get the mirror image remind me of the fun I had with the children I cared for. We used to make'butterflies' like that. Looking forward to seeing what magic you work on yours. Have a fun week.

Hello there, I did manage to pick up that you'd painted your tall drawer unit, this is gorgeous, could do with more drawers myself. My theory is that they only stay tidy if you stop filling them up with new stuff, well I'm (like the rest of the world) on an economy drive so I guess my drawers will stay tidy for a little while longer:)
Your quilts are beautiful, so much work but so worth it:)
What a lovely cat:) I will be very interested to see what you come up with for the ink spots:)
Thank you for the peek:) xx

cats do get in the strangest of places - a friend at work did have a cat, but whenever she crafted the craft room door was shut to stop her cats getting in - great idea to paint those draws, good luck with your quilts.

I spotted the difference right away. I love white, because it's always so clean looking. Didn't notice the cat till you mentioned it. Bleubeard would NOT be proud of me.

I love making ink blot people. They are so much fun. I love your in progress ones.

Sorry I'm so late getting around this week. I seem to have had a hard time keeping my computer from freezing up. Not sure if it's blogger or me! Happy belated WOYWW!

And that's a gorgeous quilt - I've always fancied having a go at that but have never had the time to learn it! Cute kitty too!
