April Showers bring....

flooding before the May flowers!

This is what it looked like this morning from the front window. Even Fritzie couldn't believe it!

from the back yard it looked like this! Boa and Zack wonder what happened to their play yard.

We live on a corner where two creeks meet. We have a pond in the front yard, but now we live on the lake!

The only good thing about a day like to day is that it keeps me in to quilt. I shall be showing you some soon!

I'm assuming you do NOT have a basement, otherwise you'd be SCREAMIN! YOW!

Oh Wanda. That's alot of water. Hope you remain dry inside quilting. What a nice surprise to read that you are working on Pam Snow's quilt! Just what I needed to brighten my day. Rough day yesterday. DH's heart procedure was not successful and he ended up getting a pacemaker. We are both still adjusting to the idea. Anxious to see the quilt.

Happy sailing!

Do you have an ark? Hope the house stays dry and no more rain for a while.

Oh My - Wanda, you may need a boat soon, that's a big storm front headed through your area. Hope the Minnow finds the way home!

Oh my gosh, I hope it didn't (and doesn't) get any higher for you!! We are bone-dry out here in NM; I would looooooove to take some of that rain off your hands... Stay safe!

May you be safe and your home be protected as you quilt on your lovely work. I know your tiny creatures have to be concerned...stroke them and give them lavish praise for being so Brave. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

PUll THE PLUG!

Is this a common occurrence, or does this happen only after unusual humongus rainfalls?
It looks like the water is right up to the door - does it get inside?
I'll be thinking about you and wishing you lots of sunshine.

Lets just say that we are high enough up. The photo from the back door is a bit deceiving. Water is about to mid calf to knee deep at the deepest. Our house at it's lowest point is built up 46 inches high. If water ever gets to the floor level, then all of the town is in trouble! The step shown is actually 6 concrete bricks high but no steps. still waiting for a deck. lol
