A Piece of Humble Pie?

I promised to post my pear pie recipe for Dove awhile back, so my humble apologies for getting around to it much later than anticipated. It's so quick and oh so delicious! I am not one to eat pears, so this was an unexpected surprise to be so fabulous! My sister made this recipe several years ago when I had gone to visit her and it's become another one of our favorites. You can eat it warm or cold with a nice scoop of whip topping. I love to grate some fresh nutmeg on top. I have made this with peaches too, but canned peaches are so soggy, so fresh peaches might be better. Enjoy!

Pear Pie

1 ready made Keebler shortbread pie crust ( find it in the isle with the grahm cracker crusts) or you can make your own shortbread crust recipe.

1 small can of pears (15.5 oz)
1 cup whipping cream
3/4 cup of sugar
2 TBS of flour
cinnamon and nutmeg

Drain pears and dice. Place in the bottom of the shortbread crust. With a whisk, whip up whipping cream, sugar and flour. Pour over pears and sprinkle on cinnamon and nutmeg. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 50-60 min.
